Hemlock Bluff Cabin is a private oasis tucked away on a beautiful, secluded lot that borders over 800,000 acres of protected forests, rivers and streams in the Upper Cumberland Plateau area of Tennessee and Kentucky.  You can walk off the back of our lot directly into the adjacent Big South Fork National River & Recreation Area, Daniel Boone National Forest, Pickett State Park, and Pickett State Forest.

Big enough for 10, cozy enough for 2

First-class amenities:  Outdoor fireplace.  Indoor fireplace.  Amazing views.  Fully-appointed cook's kitchen with gas stovetop.  Huge decks.  Jacuzzi hot tub.  Two-person Jacuzzi master bath tub tucked into dramatic bay window.  Basement Funroom with bar, foosball and ping pong table.  Satellite TV.  Our cabin is pet-friendly, too.

Hiking and horse trails
There's a great hiking and horse trail about two hundred yards down the gravel drive from our cabin front door.  This trail provides quick and easy access to all the National Park hiking and horse trails of the vast Big South Fork wilderness.

We built this cabin for ourselves and people like us -- busy city folk, nature lovers, cooks, entertainers and readers.

Do nothing or do a lot
At Hemlock Bluff Cabin, you can do absolutely nothing but eat, rest, read and watch satellite TV in great comfort.  Or you can do a lot outside, like hiking, fishing, hunting, horseback riding, kayaking, canoeing, backpacking, swimming, rock climbing, mountain bike riding, road bike riding, birdwatching, wildflower viewing, wildlife viewing, spelunking, stargazing, golfing, touring area historic sites and attending educational sessions and entertainment performances at the nearby Big South Fork Park Visitor's Center and Pickett State Park Nature Center.  Inside, you can play foosball, ping-pong, board games and poker.

Remote, yet easy to get to
As remote as it feels, and really is, our cabin is easy to get to -- just 2.5 hours by car from Nashville, 1.5 hours from Knoxville, 2.5 hours from Chattanooga, 3 hours from Lexington, 3.5 hours from Louisville and Ashville, and 4.5 hours from Cincinnatti, Atlanta, Birmingham and Evansville.  From Memphis, it's 5.5 hours but closer and much less crowded than the Smokies.
