We built this cabin for ourselves and people like us -- busy city folk, nature lovers, cooks, entertainers and readers. Do nothing or do a lot At Hemlock Bluff Cabin, you can do absolutely nothing but eat, rest, read and watch satellite TV in great comfort. Or you can do a lot outside, like hiking, fishing, hunting, horseback riding, kayaking, canoeing, backpacking, swimming, rock climbing, mountain bike riding, road bike riding, birdwatching, wildflower viewing, wildlife viewing, spelunking, stargazing, golfing, touring area historic sites and attending educational sessions and entertainment performances at the nearby Big South Fork Park Visitor's Center and Pickett State Park Nature Center. Inside, you can play foosball, ping-pong, board games and poker. Remote, yet easy to get to As remote as it feels, and really is, our cabin is easy to get to -- just 2.5 hours by car from Nashville, 1.5 hours from Knoxville, 2.5 hours from Chattanooga, 3 hours from Lexington, 3.5 hours from Louisville and Ashville, and 4.5 hours from Cincinnatti, Atlanta, Birmingham and Evansville. From Memphis, it's 5.5 hours but closer and much less crowded than the Smokies.
